The TV was on last leg about year ago when I began to see blue color at the lower right hand corner of the screen. I was taking a look at Samsung UN55-C8000 since last Xmas. I hestitated to buy Samsung 3D HDTV back then because of the hefty cost tag. When UN55-D7000 first came out, I bought Samsung 3D HDTV from Amazon.com. I like the slim 0.5"" frame and one.2"" depth of the TV. Next, I was taking a look at contrast ratio. I saw Samsung 3D HDTV somewhere that the TV has 16 MM: one contrast ratio. The D8000 has 25MM : one. The sales man from bestbuy said that Samsung dropped the contrast ratio specification this year because Samsung 3D HDTV is so high that they quoted the ratio as infinity. Samsung 3D HDTV is another reason I picked the D7000 over the C - series. I didn't buy the D8000 series because it costs $800 over D7000 and I don't think I can notice the difference. Another reason I bought this TV is that the D series is net prepared without a dongle while the C - series needs an outside dongle. The apps are comprehensive. You definitely need the QWERTY control to type things it. I am still waiting for my QWERTY keyboard to show up. I don't understand why Samsung did not include it in the TV packet.
